VCIT AppBlast leverages cloud computing technology to transform traditional Windows applications into an online, on demand application service. Just like the phone company does when providing phone service, VCIT provides and manages all of the required infrastructure that makes this cloud based system possible.
With AppBlast, applications are no longer installed and maintained on individual computers in your office. Instead, applications are installed, maintained, and run on servers in the VCIT data center.
What’s Included?
Your staff will still be able to use all of their existing applications, documents, email, and other resources, yet they will be able to securely access them from anywhere, using virtually any web-connected device.
Each AppBlast subscriber (employee) has access to the Microsoft Office Professional Plus suite of applications, a hosted Microsoft Exchange mailbox, personal storage (2 GB), shared storage (5 GB for company), and unlimited help desk support!
Other standard applications include Internet Explorer with Flash, Adobe Acrobat Reader, PDF Creator, and built-in applications like Microsoft Paint, Microsoft Notepad, and Microsoft Wordpad. Other applications are available on request.

Easy To Use, No Code Changes Needed
By simply visiting our web portal and logging on, your staff will have the freedom to safely run Windows applications like Microsoft Office (included with every subscription) from any web-connected access device. VCIT AppBlast requires no code changes to your existing Windows applications, so virtually any Microsoft Windows compatible application can be delivered this way.
Any Device, Anywhere
Because all applications, email, documents, and other data reside in the VCIT data center, there’s nothing to backup on the access devices. Office computers become low maintenance, interchangeable appliances that can quickly be replaced by off the shelf computers in the event of hardware failures.
Also, VCIT AppBlast supports a variety of access devices including any web-connected Windows, Mac, or Linux computer. So computers at Internet cafes, hotels, home offices, and client offices can be safely transformed into office computers for your business. You can even run VCIT AppBlast applications from mobile devices (Windows mobile, Apple iPhone, and Blackberry)!
Quick, Secure, and Reliable
Regardless of the access device used, VCIT AppBlast applications will run quickly, securely, and reliably. Although applications will appear to run on the local access device, they will actually run on powerful servers located in the VCIT data center.
The magic that makes this possible is powered by Citrix technology, which seamlessly relays keyboard, mouse, audio, and video information between your local access device and the remote VCIT data center. Printers available on the access device are automatically connected to your VCIT AppBlast session too!
